CBSE Class 10 & 12 Revaluation Process 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2025, bringing relief and excitement to lakhs of students across the country. However, for those who are not satisfied with their marks, CBSE offers a structured and transparent re-evaluation process, giving students a fair chance to get their answer sheets reviewed.

Let’s understand the three-stage process of verification, photocopy request, and re-evaluation in detail.

Step 1: Apply for Photocopy of Answer Sheet

Before proceeding to re-evaluation, students must first apply for a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet. Here’s how:

  • Visit the official CBSE portal: https://cbseit.in/cbse/web/rchk
  • Click on “Apply for Answer Book”
  • Enter your details including Roll Number, Class, and Subject
  • Pay the required fee (₹500–₹700 per subject)
  • Once uploaded, download your answer sheet from the portal

Step 2: Verification of Marks

If students find any errors after checking the scanned answer sheet, they can apply for verification of marks:

  • Go to the same portal and click on “Apply for Re-verification”
  • Choose the subject(s) you want to verify
  • Pay ₹500 per subject
  • CBSE will re-check the totaling and ensure all answers were evaluated

Step 3: Apply for Re-evaluation of Specific Answers

Only those who have obtained the photocopy are eligible for this step. You can challenge the marking of specific answers.

  • Select a maximum of 10 questions per subject
  • Pay ₹100 per question
  • Submit through the online portal
  • The final decision post re-evaluation will be binding and final
